In New Trailer, Vin Diesel Is Furious... About Witches?
Vin Diesel doesn’t have friends, he’s got family. And that family hates witches now.
Everyone’s favorite action hero, Vin Diesel, is coming back into theaters. Is he in a car? Is he voicing a delightful tree creature? Nope, he’s hunting witches, in new film The Last Witch Hunter.
The film takes place in a world where witches living among us, and are intent on killing humanity with the plague. Vin plays Kaulder, an immortal warrior that has had it with all the m-fing witches on this m-fing planet.
Sounds wacky? The film was written by the multiple Oscar winner Dallas Buyers Club screenwriter Melisa Wallack. That’s a true fact right there. So have some respect!
But let’s be honest, you’re here for shots from the trailer, and things go 0 to 100 real quick
Michael Caine plays a priest that tells Vin “I’ve been reading the history of your life – and I’ve written my fair share of it. But your story has no end.” Badass!
Unrelated to this movie Michael Caine once released a techno CD called “Cained.” Just some info for your next party.
Vin won’t be alone, he’s joined by a reluctant witch played by Rose Leslie (best known as Ygritte from Game of Thrones).

Here’s a moment where Vin Diesel probably brought up Jon Snow. Bad call Vin.
There’s isn’t much time to get acquainted, as the witches quickly start to leave subtle clues all over the city that Vin uses to track them down.
They also release hundreds of…butterflies? That’s an uncomfortable amount of butterflies right there, it would inconvenience your day to be sure.
But Ygritte is the only Game of Thrones connection in this film. Just look at this majestic tree, that symbolizes something.
A tree in the snow far away silhouetted against the sun? Ok, maybe there’s a few GoT connections.
There’s also a tree monster that they’ll either fight or that will help them fight. Hopefully it says more words than Groot.
Oh snap, Vin’s got a flaming sword! Now that is something you don’t see every day, especially not in Game of Thrones!
Ok fine, ONE time!
The top comments on MTV’s Facebook, where the trailer premiered, definitely have the right idea
